Welcome to the Portfolio@Tees Toolkit
This toolkit is designed to help you get started with Portfolio@Tees - Teesside University's digital portfolio system, powered by Mahara. Take a look at our portfolio examples for some inspiration and then work your way through the induction activity - this should take no longer than an hour or so to complete and is a great way to learn the system.
These pages have been built using Portfolio@Tees, so you can start to get a feel for the types of content that can be added to your e-portfolio.
3 Steps to Mahara
There are three simple steps to understanding Portfolio@Tees: Create & Collect, Organise and Share.
Create & Collect
You firstly need to identify, create and collect your content. Decide why you want to create a portfolio and what you want to put into it. Create and collect content such as images, audio and video files. Write your CV or use the built-in options in Mahara to populate CV content. Gather materials from external sources if necessary.
Organise your content by creating Pages and Collections to build up your e-portfolio. Remember to think about the intended audience and/or purpose of each page and collection.
Decide if you want to share your pages and collections with others. Choose who you want to share them with and add access rules to determine who can see your e-portfolio content.
Our Induction Activity is designed to help you get started with Portfolio@Tees and think about these three steps.
